Licensure
✓Possess a current and valid Occupational Therapy License per California State requirements
Certifications
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Preference given to individuals with Advanced Practice in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, and Intervention. preferred
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program - Bachelors minimum
Master's Degree Graduate of an accreditied Occupational program- Preferred
Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program- Preferred
Qualifications
✓3 years experience as a practicing therapist and evidence of ability to perform at this level. 1 year experience in the current or similar practice setting in which the individual will be working as a therapist - NICU.
✓Good knowledge of assessment and intervention in a medical and physical disabilities setting.
✓Ability to address both development and feeding/eating/swallowing in neonates.
Preference given to individuals with experience with complex neonates (i.e. ELBW). preferred
