Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics, Per Diem

Description Join a dynamic pediatric rehabilitation team and bring your clinical expertise to a fast-paced outpatient setting. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong skills in pediatric rehabilitation, including the evaluation and treatment of children with developmental delays and feeding challenges. In this role, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that support functional independence and developmental progress.

Key responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, providing evidence-based treatment interventions, completing timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation, and maintaining established productivity standards. Additional responsibilities may include participation in special projects, departmental initiatives, and other duties as assigned. Patient care is the primary focus of this position unless otherwise specified.

Salary Range: $73.82 - $92.23 per hour This per diem position may have the opportunity to convert to a career position. Qualifications Required Qualifications Current and active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Advanced Practice Certification in Swallowing Assessment Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Demonstrated experience working with pediatric patient populations, including the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to effectively evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric conditions Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with patients, families, and staff from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds Proven clinical judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize patient needs while adhering to Medical Center and departmental policies, procedures, and best practices Demonstrated ability to develop appropriate treatment plans, select and implement effective interventions, evaluate outcomes, modify plans of care as needed, and facilitate timely discharge planning based on patient goals and progress Ability to assign and supervise treatment activities within the technical and legal scope of support personnel Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position, including repetitive bending, stooping, sitting, squatting, walking, and standing for extended periods during an 8-10 hour workday.

Responsibilities may include lifting up to 35 pounds without equipment, patient transfers, and pushing wheelchairs for distances up to 500 feet

Pediatric rehabilitation experience with expertise in developmental delays, feeding disorders, and related pediatric diagnoses Experience in an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation setting Additional Information Candidates with advanced pediatric rehabilitation expertise and relevant clinical experience are strongly encouraged to apply. 5 + years of experience qualifies as an OT II title.
