Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position. Overview
The Occupational Therapist assists patients in the restoration of occupational function through evaluation and treatment. Performs examination and evaluation of patients' occupational and functional status including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems as they relate to functional mobility skills. Includes gathering information from the patient chart, patient and family, or other source as appropriate.
Join our inpatient rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist and help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective recovery. This position manages a diverse acute care caseload, including patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions such as stroke, generalized debility, trauma, cardiopulmonary diagnoses, and complex medical conditions.
Therapists play a key role in timely evaluations, treatment progression, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary communication. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy Licensure/Certifications: State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration Current state driver’s license for those providing Driving Evaluations CPR certification within 90 days of hire Other skills/knowledge: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner
