At Children's Specialized Hospital, part of RWJBarnabas Health, Senior School Services Occupational Therapists provide exceptional school-based occupational therapy services while serving as clinical leaders within our School Services program.
This role combines direct patient care with mentorship, operational coordination, quality oversight, and staff development to ensure students receive high-quality, educationally relevant therapy services. As a Senior School Services Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with educators, families, school administrators, and interdisciplinary professionals to support student achievement while partnering with department leadership to enhance clinical excellence, service delivery, and operational efficiency across assigned school districts.

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current and unrestricted New Jersey Occupational Therapist license issued by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. Certification: Appropriate New Jersey School Certification required.
Previous school-based pediatric occupational therapy experience is required. Demonstrated experience coordinating services, mentoring clinicians, supervising occupational therapy assistants or entry-level therapists, and supporting operational or clinical leadership functions is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of school-based occupational therapy evaluation techniques, educationally relevant treatment planning, IEP development, documentation standards, quality assurance, staff mentoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, operational coordination, and educational service delivery models.
Ability to work a Full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) and travel between assigned school districts as needed .
