OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - Union General Health System

As an Occupational Therapist with Union General Health System, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients through therapeutic interventions. Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in rehabilitation settings, particularly with geriatric and neurological populations.

Certification in specialized areas or a desire to achieve certification in geriatrics and neurological interventions. Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to inform treatment planning. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans aimed at improving patients' daily living skills. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and strategies to support recovery and independence.
