✓Certificate in fire-fighting methodology within one year of hire, required.
✓Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 Hour Outreach Training Program certification within one year of hire, required.
✓HAZWOPER 24 Hour Initial Training certification within one year of hire, required.
✓Certification in Hazardous Material Handling and related USDOT regulations within one year of hire, required.
Education
✓Associate's Degree in Healthcare Safety, Environmental Safety, Fire Science, related field, equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree, required.
Qualifications
✓Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements.
✓Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

✓Working knowledge of ergonomics and body mechanics.
✓Working knowledge of disaster response protocols.
