Seeking Oncology Breast Nurse Navigator! Baptist Health Floyd (Cancer Center Location), Radiation Center Full-time (40 Hours Weekly), Days Benefit Eligible Job Duties: The Oncology Nurse Navigator is a patient educator, care coordinator, system navigator, and patient advocate with the mission to improve the care experience for breast cancer patients at Baptist Health Floyd. The Oncology Nurse Navigator works collaboratively with the patient and their support system, referring physicians, radiologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, palliative medicine physicians, cancer registry, outcomes department, clinical research staff, in-patient and outpatient care areas, community education and other healthcare professionals to support the breast patient from prevention and early detection through diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and survival plan of care.
Graduate of an approved nursing program with a BSN required. Current Indiana or compact state RN license required. Two (2) years of oncology nursing experience required.
Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN, AOCN, AOCNS, or AOCNP) within one (1) year of employment required. Experience as a Charge Nurse or Supervisor preferred. Baptist Health Floyd is a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization.
