Licensure
✓Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW or LCSW-C level.
✓Exceptions may apply for individuals licensed in another state or jurisdiction who meet Board requirements and have a pending application or have passed the required examination(s).
Education
✓MSW from an accredited school of social work.
Qualifications
✓Strong understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural factors in clinical social work practice.
✓Knowledge of social work systems, procedures, and organizational goals.
✓Familiarity with community resources, the health care environment, and the psychosocial impact of illness and disability.
✓Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information to guide patient care decisions.
✓Excellent oral and written communication skills.
✓Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and treatment planning skills.
✓Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
✓Ability to identify barriers to care and recommend improvements.
✓Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, staff, and external providers.
