Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology, Nursing, or a related field. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word), A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
Experience navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Excellent critical thinking, organizational, detailed and analytical skills.
Experience with computer databases. Tumor registry experience. One of the following: Current registration as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT®) A current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania A current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
