Licensure
✓Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Physical Therapist (PT) in the applicable state
✓Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
✓New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Current certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) preferred
Education
✓Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Qualifications
✓Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and pathology of the upper extremity
✓Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in upper extremity rehabilitation
✓Clinical expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation
✓Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
✓Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
✓High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
✓Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes
✓6 months relevant experience.
Experience in outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy clinic settings preferred
Prior collaboration with hand surgeons or orthopedic specialty teams preferred
Strong patient education and communication skills preferred
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
