Job Overview: The Surgical Technologist (ST) delivers care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the ASC/AST and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
The Surgical Technologist assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of owning an individual level of knowledge and experience and assuming responsibility for one's own professional advancement. The ST is an interdisciplinary team member utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs.
Required: Completion of an accredited ARC/ASTA Surgical Technology program including appropriate documented clinical hours Willing to take on call emergencies Preferred: Prior Surgical Tech experience Certifications and Licenses Required: National Certification in Surgical Technology Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association Scheduling
FT Schedule 11:30am -10:00pm 10 hour shift x 4 days a week with 1 day off a week which varies On Call Required
