Assists physicians with minor office procedures, bedside/inpatient minor procedures, wound care, wound vac application, and/or operating room assistance, as applicableResponds to orders/tasks in a timely manner, per department guidelines. Assists with or applies and removes casts and splints, including trimming and modification of casts and DME fitting for patients. Assists with placing patients into traction and adjusts traction equipment as ordered by Physicians and Advance Practice Providers.

Completes patient intake and rooming, including height, weight, and patient history. Communicates information clearly and precisely to team members to ensure coverage is not affected by staffing changes. Provides patient education on cast care and DME equipment.

Documents accurately, thoroughly, and timely using measurable terminology and acceptable abbreviations. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives. Manages documentation, supply ordering, and relationships with DME providers.

Other duties as assigned. Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient volume by altering working hours to assist in other centers, programs, inclusive of on-call scheduled as defined by department and as applicable.
