Certifications
✓Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator Certification or Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Professional Coder.
✓Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training.
An approved American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) coding credential. preferred
Education
✓High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 1 year of coding for professional services
✓Strong understanding of physiology, medical terms and anatomy.
✓Proficiency in computer skills including typing speed and accuracy.
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✓Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
✓Must be able to achieve and maintain appropriate coding quality and productivity as established by HMH Compliance
✓Years of relevant work experience.
✓Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
✓Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Prior working experience with outpatient hospital ICD10 diagnosis, CPT procedural and E&M coding experience is desired preferred

Assigns codes to clinicalAssigns codes to clinical services performed for use in reimbursement and data collection
Accountable for coding andAccountable for coding and abstracting of patient encounters, including diagnostic, surgical, and procedural information, significant reportable elements, and complications
Daily monitoring of WQ'sDaily monitoring of WQ's for billing corrections
Assign CPT, HCPCS andAssign CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes
