The Physical Therapist will provide quality care to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status related to a chronic bleeding disorder.

Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationship with appropriate interpersonal boundariesManages patient care by first completing an evaluation, establishing a treatment plan with objective and measurable goals (outcomes), and provide direct intervention or supervision of carePerforms therapeutic procedures (exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, gait, massage, manual therapy, orthotic fitting and training, dynamic activities, compression garments)Utilizes appropriate exercise equipment and treatment modalities for bleeding disorder patientsPromotes patient and family rights to self-determinationAssists family to integrate the medical, social emotional, and family dynamics of the condition into the context of their life situationAdjusts patient care schedule and prioritizes tasks as indicatedPerforms documentation per policy and procedures (evaluation, progress notes, discharge summary, and multi-disciplinary education and treatment plans)Performs patient and family education regarding interventions, disease/injury, safety, and wellnessOther Functions:Participates in continuing education, departmental meetings, and in-service programsMaintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conductComplies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all timesPerforms other duties as assignedAdditional

Required QualificationsLicensed or eligible in the Commonwealth of KentuckyBasic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University in Physical Therapy
