$10,000.00 sign on / retention bonus SVMC is seeking an outpatient physical therapist to see patients in our outpatient department on the main hospital campus (Bennington, VT). In consultation with the referring provider, the Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting a plan of treatment for patients of all ages. As an Outpatient Physical Therapist at SVMC, you’ll be a partner in your patients’ recovery journeys.
You’ll work with individuals of all ages and conditions, from post-surgical athletes eager to get back on the field to older adults striving to maintain mobility and independence. Your expertise will directly improve quality of life, empower patients to take charge of their health, and strengthen the fabric of our community.
MS degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school required. DPT is required for new grads. A Vermont State license to practice physical therapy is required on hire.
Health Care Provider BLS within 90 days of hire and current CPR certification required. Highlights include: 1:1 therapist/patient ratio with no double bookings. Hourly pay schedule inclusive of documentation and non-patient care tasks.

In addition, this position has the opportunity to supervise physical therapist assistants and students.

Outpatient rehabilitation provides physical, occupational and speech therapy at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and SVMC’s satellite campuses across the region.
The rehabilitation program services patients of all ages with many specialty rehab services available including but not limited to vestibular therapy, hand therapy and lymphedema therapy.
