You’ll need
Licensure
✓Must hold or be eligible to receive a Physical Therapist license in the State where services will be provided.
✓State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
✓Must maintain all certifications and license according to the expiration date.
Certifications
✓Must be certified in CPR or must become certified within the first 90 days of employment.
Education
✓Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, with a physical therapy degree as follows: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, if graduated prior 1/1/2016
✓Doctorate of Physical Therapy required, if graduated after 1/1/2016
✓International Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school and possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
✓Work experience preferred, but not required, other than clinical experience within educational training program.
Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds, may be required to push up to 300 pounds. Must be willing to work at other locations as assigned.
About the role
Provides professional patient care and practices physical therapy by evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting treatment. Evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the order from the physician and provides treatment through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potential in all areas of the patient's life.
