The Outpatient Reference Clerk is responsible for registering patients for laboratory testing. This role performs scheduled courier trips to reference client’s offices to pick-up specimens and deliver supplies. Other duties include processing specimens for laboratory testing and perform clerical duties as assigned and performing outpatient phlebotomy procedures.

Outpatient Reference Clerk

High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma in phlebotomy preferred. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred.

Certification in phlebotomy preferred. This is a safety sensitive position. * Minimum

Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry. Willingness to learn and develop phlebotomy skills. Excellent customer service skills Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain acceptable driving record Ability to learn techniques for venipunctures Preferred
