✓Requirements
Licensure
✓APRNs must have certification as Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and must have a current APRN license at start of program.
Certifications
✓APRNs must have FNP certification prior to the start of the program.
Education
✓Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program by May 2027 for the incoming class.
✓Alternatively, graduation from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program by March 2027 for the incoming class.
Qualifications
✓PAs must have taken and passed their PANCE by the start of the program.
✓Both new graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply.
✓Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are required.
✓Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care appropriate to the Emergency Department.
✓Emergency Medicine requires procedural as well as assessment skills.
✓The range and scope of emergency medicine is quite broad and requires expertise in many areas of medicine.
✓Additional criteria may be specified by the program.
