Position Details Lakeland Regional Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or APRN for our Orthopedic department working with a total joint specialist as well as work as part of the Orthopedic Surgery team. The ideal candidate will work alongside our Orthopedic Total Joint surgeon in the operating room and hospital as well as in the clinic. Responsible to the Operations Manager for clinical, operational, and administrative issues. Works as a member of a team committed to the purpose of providing the best patient experience and exceptional health care. Functions include assisting in the care of the orthopedic patients, performing history and physicals, evaluating clinic and hospital patients, rounding on patients in the hospital, performing procedures, first assisting in surgery, dictating notes/H&Ps & discharge summaries, ordering tests and formulation of treatment plans.
Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost as well as patient satisfaction.

Standard Work: Physician Assistant III Perform pre and post operative patient evaluations, conduct rounds, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans.
First assist in the operating room and provide intraoperative support. Manage post-surgical patient care, including wound management and follow up visits. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Dictate notes, History & Physicals and Discharge summaries. Competencies & Skills Essential: Excellent clinical and evaluation skills, ability to concentrate and be attentive to details. Excellent skills in communication and resolution of conflict.
