Licensure
✓A Paramedic must Successfully complete MDHHS approved Paramedic course and have a Paramedic License in the state or Michigan.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Preferred)
Qualifications
✓Additional requirements include:
✓Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
✓Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
✓Valid Michigan driver's license
Trauma Course (ITLS or PHTLS) (Preferred)
Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), VFIS Driver Training, or equivalent (preferred)
6 months field experience in EMS (Preferred)
