The Paramedic Field Supervisor is a licensed professional who assists the Ambulance Manager, Director of Emergency Services with the coordination and supervision of the day-to-day ambulance service operations. Must work collaboratively with MedCom. Must have a well-developed understanding and experience of system-wide EMS operations as well as clinical skill and judgment and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must collaborate with the sending/receiving facilities to support the interface of pre-hospital with the hospitals we serve. EDUCATION / TRAINING /
Minimum:Hazardous Materials training to the First Responder Operations Level prior to the conclusion of department orientationDesired:Five years’ experience in the pre-hospital settingLeadership and preceptor experienceA. S. degree in health-related fieldLICENSES /
Minimum:Currently licensed by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority as a ParamedicAccredited by the Sierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services to function as a Paramedic in the region. Must be able to work effectively with peers, other departments, first responders and the public using good interpersonal skills, discretion and diplomacy. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Within six months of appointment the employee must have practical knowledge of basic ambulance billing, basic ambulance billing guidelines, private insurance billing guidelines and private pay requirements.
They must also have an understanding of Medcom functionality to include: CAD system, the Radio System and posting and standardized response plan.
