You’ll need
Licensure
✓State of Ohio Paramedic Certification required. (Required Upon Hire)
✓Paramedic Specialty Certification (doesn’t include BLS, ACLS, ITLS, PALS, or NRP)
Certifications
✓5+ years Paramedic Experience (Level III) OR Associates degree and 3 years’ experience Bachelors of Science degree in Emergency Medical Services OR classroom/clinical instructor (ACLS, PALS, ITLS, BLS instructor)
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Required)
✓PALS (exception CMC) (Required within 6 Months)
✓required for Level II & III) (Required)
Education
✓Other Accredited Program: Graduated from a state accredited paramedic program (Required)
Qualifications
✓3+ years Paramedic Experience (Level II)
✓Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds; able to organize changing work assignments. (Required proficiency)
✓Patient care equipment specific to assigned population, telephone, beeper system, and nurse call system.
✓Three Peer Reviews required for Level II and III
✓Criteria to Promote and Maintain (five for Level II; seven for Level III)
Medical terminology. (Preferred proficiency)
