✓Current State of Montana Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic license.
✓Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP – National Registry Paramedic) certification.
Certifications
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within sixty (60) days of start date.
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within sixty (60) days of start date.
✓In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must maintain timely completion of all required education, trainings, and certifications as assigned and in accordance with Bozeman Health policies, department-specific requirements, applicable certification program
International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) credentials: CCP-C, FP-C, CP-C, or MTSP-C. preferred
Completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). preferred
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
Qualifications
✓Current Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire.
✓Valid Montana driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
✓Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
✓Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
✓Learn current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
✓Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
✓Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
✓Demonstrate the Bozeman Health SPIRIT values of: Service, People, Integrity, Respect, Improvement, and Teamwork.
Three (3) years of paramedic experience in 9-1-1 EMS or an emergency department setting. preferred
Previous interfacility transport experience. preferred
Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) and/or VFIS driver training. preferred
FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) training: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800. preferred
Completion of the Difficult Airway Course. preferred
