Licensure
✓Minimum requirement is completion of the requirements for licensure (DOT curriculum paramedic program) recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of health in accordance with EMS regulations which allows individual to sit for the State and National Registry exams for licensure as an EMT.
✓Must have and maintain a current Oklahoma Paramedic License.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training is required within 9 months of hire.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training preferred.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training preferred.
Education
✓Certificate or Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Technology.
Qualifications
✓Must be at least 21 years of age in order to be insured by NRH carrier.
✓Must possess a valid driver’s license.
✓Must remain insurable by the NRHS/EMSStat vehicle insurance company by maintaining a good driving record and meeting any other requirement as set forth in the policy.
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
