You’ll need
Certifications
✓Certification to instruct in the applicable recreational sports program and/or equivalent experience.
CPR/AED & First Aid certified preferred
Qualifications
✓Verbal and written communication skills in the English language, active listening, dynamic flexibility, critical thinking, multi-task and time management skills.
✓Ability to exercise independent sound judgment and employ reasoning skills.
✓Client service minded, entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking skills.
✓Knowledge and experience related to sports
✓Excellent communication & coaching skills verbal and written
✓Ability to successfully pass FBI and DOJ Criminal Check.
✓Ability to apply UCSF HR policies.
Demonstrated experience serving in a leadership role preferred
Basic skills in computer programs relevant to job duties. preferred
Knowledge of campus policies and procedures. preferred
Working knowledge of program activity practices and procedures. preferred
Experience in coordinating/participating in adult league sports preferred
About the role
UCSF Fitness and Recreation inspires wellbeing and health on the UCSF campus through fitness, community, and play. The Recreational Sports unit is an integral part of Fitness and Recreation and provides excellent customer service while ensuring participants participate in Recreation programs and leagues in a safe and fun environment.
