Patient Access & Care Coordination Manager

Description UCLA Health’s Neuromodulation Division is seeking to hire a Patient Access & Care Coordination Manager to oversee patient navigation, scheduling, intake operations, and multidisciplinary care coordination services supporting our specialized behavioral health programs. You will manage a team of clinical and administrative professionals dedicated to ensuring patients receive timely access to care and seamless coordination throughout their treatment journey.

You will serve as the operational expert responsible for optimizing patient access workflows, improving service delivery, and enhancing the overall patient experience. Key responsibilities include: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team supporting patient access and care coordination services Oversee intake, scheduling, referral management, and patient navigation operations Analyze workflows and implement process improvements that enhance patient access and operational efficiency Partner with clinical and administrative leadership to optimize patient flow across the division Serve as an escalation point for complex scheduling, authorization, and care coordination challenges Ensure compliance with regulator requirements and organizational policies Maintain hands-on knowledge of front-line operations and provide operational support when needed Please note: this positions is 100% on-site Note: skills may be subject to test Salary range: $88,900/yr - $190,300/yr Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, health sciences, social work, business administration, public health, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible healthcare operations, patient access, care coordination, or clinic administration experience Minimum 5 years experience supervising professional and administrative staff in a healthcare setting Minimum 3 years of demonstration experience and knowledge of patient scheduling workflows, referral management, insurance processes, and electronic medical records (Epic/CareConnet preferred) Strong leadership, problem-solving, and operational improvement skills Preferred: Master’s degree in Social Work Licensed in Clinical Social Work Experience in behavioral health, ambulatory care, or specialty clinic operations
