Baptist Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative III to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist ED North located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time shift opportunity with assignments across one or more campuses as needed. Shift Details: Wednesday-Friday 645pm-715am Patient Access Services plays an important role in creating a seamless patient experience while supporting accurate registration, financial clearance, and front-end revenue cycle functions.
The Patient Access Representative III is an advanced-level team member who supports complex patient access activities, serves as a resource to team members, and helps maintain daily operational continuity. The ideal candidate will have strong patient access or revenue cycle experience and may have prior experience as a trainer, preceptor, resource, or shift lead. Patient Access Representative III
Perform complex patient registration, insurance verification, financial clearance, scheduling, and other front-end revenue cycle functions. Serve as a subject matter resource for Patient Access workflows, processes, and procedures. Assist with issue resolution and provide support to team members to maintain daily operational continuity.
Provide shift-level guidance, training, coaching, and mentorship to Patient Access team members as assigned. Support accurate and timely insurance verification, authorization, and financial clearance activities. Assist with operational coverage and weekend on-call responsibilities for one or more campuses as assigned.
Maintain compliance with applicable Patient Access policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and patient privacy standards. Patient Access Representative III
Three or more years of patient access, hospital registration, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, financial clearance, or revenue cycle experience. Experience serving as a trainer, preceptor, resource, or shift lead. Customer service experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required) Associate degree or healthcare-related coursework. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
