✓The position requires High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year of experience.
Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. preferred
Qualifications
✓One (1) year experience in hospital registration, patient access, medical office operations, revenue cycle, healthcare billing, or a related healthcare setting.
✓Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
✓Strong computer proficiency and data entry skills.
✓Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
✓Demonstrated ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks based on departmental needs.
✓Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
✓Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
✓Professional demeanor with outstanding customer service abilities.
✓Reliable, accountable, and punctual with a strong attendance record.
✓Knowledge of medical insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, HMO, PPO, Workers' Compensation, No-Fault, and Liability insurance.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Experience in a hospital-based Radiology department. preferred
Bilingual skills are highly desirable. preferred

About the role

The Patient Access Services Representative (PASR) serves as a front-line Revenue Cycle team member at WHMC. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the efficient and accurate scheduling, pre-registration, registration, admission, and financial clearance of patients receiving Radiology and other clinical services.
