✓High School Diploma/GED
Qualifications
✓Ability to work 40 hours/week in the following schedule: Monday 7:00am-5:00p, Thursday 7:30am-6:00p, Friday 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturday 7:30am-3:00pm
Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
Experience in Customer Service Role preferred
Experience with Medical Records preferred
Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department, Physician office or any medical setting preferred
Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification preferred
Experience in requesting and processing financial payments preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Understanding of insurance policies and procedures preferred
Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments preferred

About the role

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for the smooth operation and flow of patients within the registration area. This includes greeting patients, providing information, answering phones, registering patients and entering exam orders as required.
