Patient Account Representative Lead

UW Medicine’s Patient Financial Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Account Representative Lead. WORK SCHEDULE 40 hours per week Day Shift PRIMARY

Assist in the establishment of standards, policies, and procedures Assist with development and maintenance of billing and follow up reference documents Respond satisfactorily and timely to requests and questions Coordinate with supervisor in assigning, reviewing and monitoring quality and timeliness of work and identifying training needs of Patient Account Representatives Assist in orienting and training new staff and retraining current staff Analyze and review appeals and provide feedback to Patient Account Representatives Participate in the PFS closing rotation Participate in special projects Serve as a Super User for system upgrades and changes Assist Patient Account Representatives with obtaining information necessary to obtain retroactive authorizations including letters of medical necessity Understand and interpret complex requirements and be able to prioritize and manage updates from multiple sponsors, both federal and non-federal.
