Patient Attendant Role Priorities Safety: Never leave the patient unattended. Help prevent falls, self-harm, and removal of medical equipment. Do not physically restrain patients.
Sight: Maintain continuous visual observation, including during restroom use and other activities. Say: Communicate respectfully, provide appropriate engagement, and maintain patient confidentiality. Summon: Immediately notify nursing staff of safety concerns, behavior changes, or when additional assistance is needed.
Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED.
