More about our team Our 31-bed Cardiac Unit provides specialized, high-acuity care for patients experiencing acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, and complex arrhythmias.
The team manages patients throughout the continuum of care, including pre- and post–cardiac catheterization procedures, and administers and monitors cardiac drips. This fast-paced unit offers a collaborative environment where clinicians build strong cardiac care expertise while delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care. How you'll contribute A Patient Care Assistant (PCA) who excels in this role: Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation). Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff. Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput. Documents care and activities per unit standards. Performs other duties as assigned; participates in performance improvement and required education.

Additional requirements include: PCA/DCA , SRNA, or EMT Experience preferred but not required Current BLS certification, can be obtained after hire Handle with Care preferred Looking for candidates who are eager to learn and motivated to work in a critical care environment.
