Patient Care Assistant

The Patient Care Assistant assists, supports, and provides direct care to patients under the direction of the licensed nurse. Assists with activities of daily living, including but not limited to, bathing, feeding and ambulation. Obtains vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy and blood glucose.

Documents and reports results to licensed nurse. Provides a safe and therapeutic environment. Performs clerical functions including initiating, directing and receiving telephone calls, preparing, printing and scanning various patient reports and medical record information to internal and external departments and facilities.
