  • Presbyterian, oncology nurses are at the forefront of a bold new era in compassionate care. We house one of only 20 National Cancer Institute-designated centers for pediatric Phase I trials in the nation. We recently delivered intra-arterial Avastin directly into a malignant brain tumor, the first time this approach has ever been used. We pioneered use of low-dose CT scanning for early detection of lung cancer, and more breakthroughs are on the way. Here, courageous nurses administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients and educate families, all while serving as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams.Advance your career as a Patient Care Director within the Adult Oncology Infusion Center at New York

Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvement to enhance the patient experience. Assume front line responsibility for unit's fiscal performance, resource allocation, scheduling, staff evaluation and patient care delivery. Preferred CriteriaFive years of leadership experience in an oncology department within a large academic medical centerDemonstrated leadership in leading unit development Required CriteriaAt least three years of acute care RN experienceFour years of leadership experienceExperience with union environmentsMaster's degree in Nursing (MSN)Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
