. 7. Assists patient to restroom and stays with the patient in order to keep the patient safe. Walks patient in corridor as needed. 8.
Does not leave patient unless relieved by another staff member. 9. Notifies RN/Charge RN if tubes, IV, catheter, etc. become disconnected. 10. Reports defective equipment to RN/Charge RN. 11.
Accompanies the patient to other areas of the hospital for diagnostic tests or upon transfer to other units. 12. Utilizes appropriate patient handling equipment according to patient’s care plan. 13. Transports patient equipment and patient belongings as required with the patient. 14.
Maintains a safe orderly and well-equipped environment. 15. Keeps patient room neat and orderly. 16. Evaluates patient’s environment for possible hazards and removes the hazards. 17.
Washes hands before and after patient contact and follows personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate. 18. Follows isolation procedures according to the Infection Control Policy. 19. Competently utilizes technology to document as appropriate. 20.
