Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Ortho - Days

Departmental Overview Compensation/Benefits $14.29-$23.34/hr. depending on previous work experience. Evening differential $1.50/hr. Night differential $1.75/hr.

Weekend differential $1.75/hr. We also take med/surg overflow and cardiac overflow.

We are a center of excellence with certifications in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacements and Hip Fractures. Job Summary Job Summary Provides basic patient care. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse. Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures. Facilitates processing of patients Provides clerical receptionist support Provides Coordinating Support Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department Qualifications Education High School diploma or equivalent GED Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant Experience Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience Licensure/Certification Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment Certified Nursing Assistant preferred Schedule 7a-7p Work Shift Day Position Type Regular Full Time
