Certifications
✓Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
✓AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
✓Completion of state recognized CNA program
✓Completion of EMT program
Education
✓Completion of first semester junior year in an accredited BSN program dependent upon school curriculum.
✓VCU/MCV BSN students - completion of sophomore year, Nursing 201, 202, 261.
✓Accredited Associate Degree and Diploma programs - completion of first year or a minimum of two semesters of basic nursing courses.
Qualifications
✓Specialty areas e.g. pediatrics, women`s health, psychiatry may require completion of a clinical rotation in that area
✓or Completion of medical assistant program
✓One (1) year of medical assistant work experience within the last three (3) years
✓One (1) year of care partner or equivalent work experience within the last three (3) years
✓One (1) year of military corpsman experience within the last three (3) years
✓Care Partners work all three shifts, weekends and holidays.
✓Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager.
✓Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements and/or as needed.
Acute care experience as a nursing assistant or aide experience preferred
