Licensure
✓The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care tasks and duties which do not require a license.
✓The Patient Care Technician works under the direct supervision of the R.N. and performs tasks and duties which do not require a license, professional judgment or intervention.
Certifications
Certification as a nursing assistant or military corpsman. preferred
Education
✓Current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants, need to log in to Workday via MyApps.
✓High School Diploma/GED and successful completion of patient care technician course within 3 months of hire required.
Qualifications
✓Must have excellent communication skills, ability to follow oral instructions, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
✓Must be able to lift 100 lbs. to waist height.
✓Near Visual Acuity, Far Visual Acuity, Color Discrimination, Depth Perception, Peripheral Vision
✓This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
✓A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant except as provided by law.
✓Any criminal history will be evaluated in relationship to job responsibilities and business necessity.
