Certifications
✓Current CNA certification from MBON.
✓Two years previous experience in a similar position, or two years' experience as a PCTII, or a minimum of two (2) semesters of clinical experience in formal Nursing education with a certificate from MBON as CNA.
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications
✓Excellent IV and blood draw skills/experience required.
Vascular Access experience highly preferred.
Ultrasound guided peripheral IV insertion experience highly preferred.

About the role

The IV Therapy/Vascular Access Patient Care Technician is a multi-skilled individual who provides expertise in IV insertions and blood draws throughout the hospital. The PCT performs phlebotomy, ultrasound guided IVs, assists the nurses with other Vascular Access related tasks. Patients served include pediatrics through elderly adult.
