Patient Care Technician

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN. Required Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

• You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:
• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
• 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
• Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program--that includes a program with a minimum of 40 hours hands-on patient care experience outside of a lab setting
• EMT certification and/or paramedic license

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion Facility: BayCare Health System, Emergency Service-SJS Location: St Josephs South Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 10:45 AM - 11:15 PM
