- Supervises a group of staff members at the direction of the Director/Manager/Supervisor for the Admissions Department. Maintains open communication with the Admissions management team. POSITION EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma/GED
- Medical Terminology preferred
- One to two years of related experience within Health Care
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.

- Collect and deposit fees according to protocols, prepare and balance daily financial registers and submit all forms and fees to the accounts department

- Follows Standard Precautions, OSHA Guidelines and other specific precautions (i.e. MRSA, contact, respiratory) as necessary
- Maintain organized, neat, adequate unit materials/supplies and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
- Prepares and maintains a record of observations and care given by documenting information clearly and completely utilizing correct forms in a timely manner
- Assists with admissions to the unit, orients family members/responsible parties to the unit; provides hospitality to patients families/responsible parties
- Maintain a safe, secure, comfortable environment for every patient
- Properly and safely assists in moving/ transferring patients in wheelchairs and/or other equipment
- Report accidents, with or without injury, promptly to immediate supervisor.

- Maintains and considers priorities according to procedure and physician's time and staffing requirements to meet the special needs of the patient, physician, and the hospital when scheduling appointments and oncology procedures.
- Coordinates schedule assessing time and equipment availability, identifies conflicts and adjusts schedule as needed
- Accurately facilitates and prepares the completion of the daily schedule for timely distribution.
- Follows procedure for notification of changes in the schedule (e.g. cancellation).
- Answers telephone and intercom with courteous and in a quiet, pleasant voice.
- Assumes clerical assignments such as assisting in the registration process, patient financial clearance for treatments, processing physician orders, and maintain accurate patient charts.
- Assists in department record keeping and tracking of patient volumes.
- Coordinates end-of-day activity and reports with business office, medical records, and coding departments.
- Ensures patient confidentiality requirements are met in accordance with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Working Conditions : The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.
