Patient Relations Coordinator I

JOB SUMMARY The Patient Relations Coordinator provides effective internal marketing to patients; families; and other customers by responding to requests; concerns and special needs. This individual oversees and coordinates the complaint and grievance process to ensure that Hendrick responds to these issues in an appropriate; timely and professional manner. This individual identifies areas of needed improvement and takes action to facilitate those changes.

Additionally; the Patient Relations Coordinator supervises other members of the patient relations department; as well as volunteers; to ensure the best use of time and resources for optimal departmental operations. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years related healthcare experience Minimum Work Experience 3-5 years nursing; patient relations; marketing; social work; or other relevant healthcare experience Required Licenses/Certifications

; Knowledge; and Abilities Extreme diplomacy and tact Excellent human relations and oral/written communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook) Ability to learn and utilize multiple computer applications Designated Driver No OSHA Category 2 - Medium Risk
