Day Shift Description: 2 Week Orientation will require classroom time in Springfield, MA for local colleagues Position Purpose Reporting to the Manager Patient Access, the Central Scheduler is responsible for scheduling outpatient diagnostic testing, assisting with the billing process for reimbursement of provided services, and assisting with the outpatient registration process.
Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic testing appointments and provide testing requirements and instructions to patients Interview patients to obtain and/or complete testing documents, medical case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, copiers, fax, and use of computer systems including database entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and other software applications Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
