JOB LOCATION Duke GI-Endoscopy of Raleigh - 3300 Executive Dr. JOB SUMMARY Coordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in/out, charge posting, cash management and patient appointment scheduling. Position also involves customer service, message distribution, ancillary scheduling and preparation and referrals management. ).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates patient registration, scheduling, and visit preparation by reviewing records, verifying demographics and insurance, collecting payments, obtaining required documentation, and supporting check-in and check-out processes. Maintains accurate patient records, schedules tests and procedures, manages encounter and billing documentation, answers phones, and communicates patient information and messages in a timely manner according to practice standards.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent with basic grammar and math skills.
One year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong communication, customer service, data entry, and organizational skills; knowledge of medical terminology; and the ability to apply policies related to patient registration, payment collection, record maintenance, and confidentiality.
