Education
✓High school diploma required
Qualifications
✓Ability to travel to various UCLA Health locations and be physically present at the assigned work site
✓Ability to work various days and shifts, including occasional weekends; days and hours may vary based on assignments
✓Minimum of 6 months of administrative experience
✓Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service-related role providing direct customer service and service recovery
✓Familiarity and knowledge of authorization process and managed care programs
✓Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
✓Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment.
✓Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, administration, and patients from various social, cultural, and economic backgrounds
✓Ability to interact diplomatically and professionally with a patient population in varying degrees of health
✓Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal settings
✓Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided preferred
Working knowledge of CareConnect system to complete on-line transactions, including appointment scheduling, procedure scheduling, encounter registration system, completing referrals, inputting authorizations, hospital lab results and medical reports. preferred
