  • Tracking system to facilitate and coordinate assignments throughout the hospital to support efficiency and customer/patient care. Patient Transport offers career opportunities starting in entry level progressing into lead, trainer, supervisor, and management positions.

Role PurposeManages and coordinates lifts for non-ambulatory patients, transports for patients who require greater assistance than normally expected, delivery of x-ray results, medical records, specimens, and other kinds of special deliveries throughout the medical complex. ResponsibilitiesManages the operations and integrates transport services throughout the hospital. Oversees the supervision of the transport department.

Researches, evaluates, selects and implements systems which improve efficiency of work unit operations. Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
