Patient Transporter

To transport patients from their rooms to various locations within the hospital while ensuring the patient's comfort. It is expected that the person in this role has a positive attitude, a friendly approach, and is an ambassador for Lake Regional Health System (LRHS). Overview: Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of the need for customer satisfaction, promotes, and provides patient-focused services, and is responsive to the needs of all patients.

Assist patients or lifts patients into wheelchairs or stretchers. Transport patients to various locations in the hospital for medical procedures or to an exit and assist with patient moves on and off exam table. Comfort patients and their family members by offering support and encouragement.

Provide information and directions to patients and visitors. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Requirements/Qualifications/Skills: Strong customer service skills Positive and professional communication skills High School diploma or GED Previous experience in a hospital setting is favorable Reliable time-management and punctuality BLS certification Ability to lift 50 pounds
