Process and reconcile electronic remittance files against deposits and resolve any resulting discrepancies Post payments and contractual adjustments, reconcile postings to lockbox deposits Research patient accounts on the Business Office System (Epic) with an understanding of payment, allowance, write-off and EDI (835) transactions Interpret EOB's and R/A's and comprehend coordination of benefits Ensure accurate, efficient revenue reporting for Kelsey Seybold Clinic Comply with company policies and procedures Ability to identify and quantify issues with carriers Provide customer service to both internal and external customers You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required
High school diploma or GED 2+ years of business office experience and 1+ years of experience in coordination of benefits & EOB/RA interpretations - Total 3+ years of experience 10 key/data entry and analytical skills - requires 7000 kph with an error rate of 1 to 5% Demonstrated basic CPT, ICD-9coding knowledge Demonstrated excellent organizational, mathematical and analytical skills Demonstrated positive demeanor and good verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated professionalism in both appearance and approach Demonstrated computer knowledge Proven ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
Certified medical business office training 3+ years of business office experience Demonstrated knowledge of business office patient accounting system (Epic) Demonstrated knowledge of EDI (835) Transmissions Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
