Involves the wellness, prevention, rehabilitation and optimization of individuals’ physical, sensory, and mental capabilities and functional abilities and outcomes. Includes the rehabilitative areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and audiology. Functions as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, working across the full continuum of care in a wide variety of settings.
Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives. Provides supervision to rehabilitation staff including therapists in any rehabilitation discipline (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology).
May also include supervision of rehabilitation support staff. Oversees employees, ensures compliance, enforces policies and procedures, and schedules staff. Supervises and unit / department's efficiency, productivity and performance; resolves or escalates daily clinical, program and operational issues.

Recommends changes in staffing and budget to ensure the efficient operation of clinical services function. Minimum one (1) year of prior experience as a supervisor or Clinical Leader Demonstrates subject matter knowledge of a rehabilitation service. Ability to apply principles to designated setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards. Solid knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes.
Knowledge and ability to monitor compliance with relevant rehabilitation patient care / equipment management federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Knowledge of the organization's patient care documentation technology to teach others, recommend and oversee improvements and troubleshoot issues. Prior experience working on an interdisciplinary health provider team Prior experience with Epic clinical documentation, billing, and scheduling tools.
California state dispensing audiologist license. BLS-CPR certified EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND
AuD or PhD in Audiology with four (4) or more years of post-licensure experience in the field of Audiology. Possession of, or proven eligibility for, licensure in the State of California in the related clinical discipline.
