You’ll need
Certifications
✓Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.
✓Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification or ARDMS Certification.
✓BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Certified in pediatric echocardiography. preferred
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
✓Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of congenital heart defects both pre and post-surgery.
✓Knowledge of fetal anatomy, physiology and circulation.
✓Must document at least 15 hours of echocardiography related continuing education over a period of three (3) years. All hours must be relevant to echocardiography.
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✓Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
One-year clinical echocardiography experience preferred.
One year of pediatric and/or fetal echocardiography experience. preferred

About the role
The Pediatric Echocardiographer's primary responsibility is performing cardiac ultrasound procedures on the pediatric population, secondary responsibility will be performing cardiac ultrasound procedures on the adult population. He/she also assists a trained, credentialed cardiologist attending during stress echocardiogram and TEE procedures when necessary.
